"Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero" (120 minutes) will be shown on Wednesday, 28 July, at 10:00 a.m. in the Richard White Auditorium, which is located on East Campus. The film screening is the second of three being sponsored by the Duke University Libraries' Diversity Working Group. The programs, which will include a discussion of the film being shown, are open to the public.
Summary: "Frontline" illuminates the myriad spiritual questions that come out of the terror, pain, and destruction of the terorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, exploring how consideration of good and evil, God's culpability, and the potential for darkness within religion itself have challenged both believers and non-believers.
The third film in the series, "Muslims," will be shown on 2 August at 10:00 in the Richard White Auditorium.
