Wednesday, 17 August 2005, 3-4pm, Perkins Library Rare Book Room
Luke Everett will talk about his year-long project to transcribe the diaries of his grandfather, Reuben Everett (1879-1971). Everett, a Durham lawyer, was involved in state and local politics as well as the social and civic life of Durham. His diaries, which are housed in Duke's Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library, cover more than 50 years, 1915-1921 and 1923-1971.
