The completion of Perkins 1 is the most recent milestone in the Perkins Project for the Renovation and Expansion of the Duke University Libraries. The transformation of the first floor of Perkins followed the opening of the Bostock Library and the von der Heyden Pavilion in October 2005.
The Perkins Project continues with the renovation of the two lower floors of Perkins Library as well as the Deryl Hart Room. The work on the lower floors of Perkins has already begun; work in the Deryl Hart Room will start at the end of the fall 2006 semester. Completion of all of these renovations is expected by next summer.
