Pardon the noise at Perkins

Rooftop demolition disturbing the peace

The loud construction noise currently filling Perkins is coming from demolition work in the penthouse area of the building where much of the HVAC equipment is located.  The jackhammering will probably continue through Tuesday, November 7.  After that, there will be sledgehammering noise, which will not be as loud but will still be noisy.  The sledgehammer work should last through Friday, November 10.  The worst noise should be over by then.

Ear plugs are available in Perkins at both the circulation and reference desks.
