The reading is one of several public events planned for Tharoor's two-day visit to Duke

Shashi Tharoor, author of the novels The Great Indian Novel, Riot, and Show Business, which became the motion picture Bollywood, will read selections from his books at 3pm, on Thursday, 1 March, in the Rare Book Room at Perkins Library.  Mr. Tharoor is also the author of five books of non-fiction, including Bookless in Baghdad, a collection of literary essays.  Ariel Dorfman  will introduce Mr. Tharoor and then moderate the Q&A following Mr. Tharoor's  reading.   There will be a book signing following the event.  The Bryan Center parking garage is recommended for anyone coming from off campus.

This is a public program, open to the community as well as to the students and faculty of the Triangle universities.
