Shashi Tharoor, author of the novels The Great Indian Novel, Riot, and Show Business, which became the motion picture Bollywood, will read selections from his books at 3pm, on Thursday, 1 March, in the Rare Book Room at Perkins Library. Mr. Tharoor is also the author of five books of non-fiction, including Bookless in Baghdad, a collection of literary essays. Ariel Dorfman will introduce Mr. Tharoor and then moderate the Q&A following Mr. Tharoor's reading. There will be a book signing following the event. The Bryan Center parking garage is recommended for anyone coming from off campus.
This is a public program, open to the community as well as to the students and faculty of the Triangle universities.
