Reynolds Price Reads the Gospel of Mark

Wednesday, 4 April, 7pm, Perkins Library Gothic Reading Room

Reynolds Price, James B. Duke Professor of English, will read his translation of the Gospel of Mark, which appears in his book, Three Gospels.  In a 30 June 1996 review of the book in the Los Angeles Times Book Review, Christopher Tilghman described Three Gospels as a "...splendid and exhilarating new exploration of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ."  The language of Price's translation of Mark has a power and immediacy that will hold you from the first word to the last.  Sponsored by the Duke University Libraries.  The parking on the quad in front of the Chapel has been reserved for this event.
