When you come to library.duke.edu on Wednesday, 1 August, you'll find a streamlined homepage and a more intuitive interface featuring consistent navigation throughout the site. You will be able to search the catalog, databases, articles, and ejournals from the homepage. In addition, the site integrates resources from all the campus libraries in an effort to facilitate interdisciplinary research. With the publication of this improved Web site the libraries can now begin to focus on the creation of a digital collections presence and implementation of a faceted search engine for the catalog among other projects. The new Web site design is based on months of usability studies and interviews with faculty, students, and other library users.
