EZProxy (http://library.duke.edu/research/remote/index.html) allows you to use your Duke NetID to access library resources, especially online articles and databases, from off-campus without having to download any software. Now when you use databases or e-journals from off-campus, a new window will pop up asking for your NetID and password. Sign in to gain access. Once logged in, you will be able to use any of the libraries' resources online for the rest of your browser session.
You can also continue to use the VPN for off-campus access. However, if you configured your browser to use the previously supported Duke Proxy server, delete those settings because the service for that option will be discontinued.
If you need help with off-campus access, Ask a librarian (http://library.duke.edu/ask).
