Banjo expert and collector Dr. William Michal, Jr. will present some remarkably new information about the specific origins of the most uniquely American musical instrument and a brief history of the banjo in our society. He will also shed light on what makes collectors tick as well aswhy he chose to collect banjos. A major emphasis will be a discussion of the various playing styles and how they relate to different periods of our national musical tastes. FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
