Inheriting the Trade: A Northern Family Confronts Its Legacy as the Largest Slave-Trading Dynasty in U.S. History

Author Tom DeWolf will discuss and sign his book, Inheriting the Trade, the story of  his experiences during the making of the documentary feature film Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, which will be screened in competition at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.  The film is a chronicle of the journey DeWolf and  nine other family members took into their family's slave-trading past.
