Transgender Day of Remembrance

transgender faces

Transgender Day of Remembrance, observed annually on 20 November, memorializes those who have died because of their transgender identity. The poster exhibit on display through 24 November on the first floor of Perkins Library draws attention to crimes against transgender individuals that are under-reported and receive little attention.  For information about fighting prejudice at Duke and elsewhere, visit the Duke Center for LGBT Life at 02 West Union Building or call 919-684-6607.
