Library Network Outage: January 5

OIT is scheduling to move the Perkins/Bostock complex onto the new network core on January 5 at 6:30 PM. They estimate that the associated outage will be quite short, a matter of a few minutes, but they are scheduling a maintenance window of 1 hour. At approximately 6:30, they will move the network connection to new hardware and reboot the hardware. During the period of the reboot, all traffic into and out of the building will be down. Once the new hardware is restarted, network communication should resume as normal.
