We apologize in advance for construction noise that may disturb the peace in Perkins during the reading period and exam week. Every effort will be made to restrict the loudest work to the early morning hours. However, we understand that any noise at any time of the day will be disturbing.
Noise that you hear will be coming from lower floor one of Perkins where the pace of construction of a teaching and learning center has increased in order to meet an early August completion deadline. The work has to continue--even during exams--because fall 2008 classes have already been scheduled for the teaching and learning center.
Earplugs are available at the service desks. If the first floor and lower floor 2 of Perkins are still too noisy for you, try Bostock or the Gothic Reading Room, which overlooks the quad on the second floor of the older part of Perkins.
