Write Us a Poem Contest
The Health Arts Network at Duke announces its ninth annual "Write Us a Poem" contest. The competition is open to current and former medical center patients and their families, current and former Duke employees and their families, Duke students, and people who have volunteered at Duke. Here are the guidelines:
Send in a poem about
- your experience as a health care provider, a member of the Duke Healthcare team, a patient, the family member of a patient, a volunteer or a medical student
- your experience of healing, illness, treatment, loss, grief, relief
- any aspect of life in our medical center
Please e-mail your submission as a Word document along with the contest entry form to brown097@mc.duke between Oct. 1st and Dec. 1st. Or, mail three copies of your poem and one copy of your entry form to:

No entries post marked after Dec. 1st will be accepted.
Entry forms are available at the HAND website or at the information desks at Duke North, South and the Children’s Health Care Center.
