Database Service Alert

Users will experience a slight interruption to the Resource Finder (MetaLib) on Sunday, 12 October 2008, when the library switches to its failover server as Duke OIT moves the library's production server to a new location.  The switch to failover mode will affect access to databases for approximately 10 minutes beginning at 5pm on Sunday.  You may need to reboot your computer to clear the DNS cache and gain access to the failover server, but it is also likely that you will not have to take any action.   If all goes as planned, there will only be a brief outage when the system is switched to failover and another at 4pm on Monday when the system is switched back to the production server.
