The Bingham Center at 20

The Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture opened in 1988 with a single staff member.  Now, in its 20th year of operation, the Center has grown to a staff of three professional archivists, a graduate intern, and a steady flow of volunteers.  On Thursday, 23 October, from 2:00pm-5:00pm in the Biddle Rare Book Room at Perkins Library, the Bingham Center will celebrate 20 years of documenting women’s lives with a reception and program.  Speakers will include Sallie Bingham, Minnie Bruce Pratt, Paula Burger, and Jeanette Stokes.  Special guests will include Ginny Daley, Christina Favretto, and Amy Leigh Hagardorn, former Bingham Center staff members.
