The staff of the Libraries' Preservation Department share some of their handiwork in an exhibit titled "Decorative Papers: History, Production, and Use in Conservation." The exhibit shows how paste papers and marble papers are made and how the conservators use these papers in their work. The exhibit also includes pictures from the staff's most recent paste paper workshop, sample images of papers found in the Libraries' Jantz German Baroque and German Americana collections, binding models with hand-made decorated papers created by lab staff, and much more! You'll find the exhibit on Perkins Lower Floor 1, adjacent to the Link and just outside the Verne and Tanya Roberts Conservation Lab, Room 023. Stop by any time Perkins is open. The exhibit will be on view through the spring of 2009.
