New Late-Night Weekend Hours for Perk

Revised Schedule for von der Heyden Pavilion and Perkins Gallery, Fall 2010
Beginning August 31, 2010, the von der Heyden Pavilion (the Perk) and the Perkins Gallery in Perkins Library will be accessible during normal library hours and closed for limited hours on the weekend when the library itself is closed.

The new hours are the same as the normal operating hours for Perkins and Bostock Libraries:

Sunday: Open at 10 a.m.
Monday-Thursday: Open 24 hours
Friday: Close at midnight
Saturday: 9 a.m. to midnight

Previously, both the von der Heyden Pavilion and Perkins Gallery were accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to Duke students and faculty with card access. The temporary schedule change is necessary until needed repairs can be completed on the security gate between the Gallery and the rest of Perkins.

In order to accommodate library users who need late-night study space on the weekends, the Perkins Library Gothic Reading Room will remain open 24/7 throughout the year. Duke students and faculty with card access will need to enter through the western entrance to Perkins Library (the side closest to Duke Chapel) using their Duke ID card. On weekends, the main entrance to Perkins will be locked when the library is closed.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
