Public Documents and Maps

Federal

The Federal documents collection contains materials received through the Federal Depository Program and supplementary reference items. The collection covers topics from Art to Zoology and totals over 1 million publications in paper, microfiche and electronic formats.

North Carolina

Perkins Library is an official depository for North Carolina public documents. The collection includes major reference publications, documents in microfiche format, and links to North Carolina publications and statistics available online.

Maps

The maps collection contains over 125,000 paper maps with local, state, national, and international coverage, as well as computer map programs and data. The collection receives maps through two depository programs, from the U.S. and Canadian governments, and purchases other titles.

Durham Area Information

Duke University is located in the City and County of Durham.  The library collects materials from both as well as providing a comprehensive list of links to city and county services.

International Organizations

The international documents collection includes materials from the European Union, the United Nations, the League of Nations, and other international governmental organizations (IGO's). Duke is a European Union Depository.

Duke has also been collecting materials published by non-governmental or Civil Society organizations (NGOs or CSOs).
