Have a question about copyright in research or teaching?

If you are a member of the Duke community, ScholarWorks staff at Duke University Libraries can help you with questions about copyrighted materials you would like to use in your research and teaching, as well as with questions related to selecting the best license to enable or to protect the use of your work by others. If we can’t answer your question, we’ll refer you to someone else who may be able to help.

ScholarWorks staff can provide guidance to Duke faculty, researchers, and students on copyright and technology law, licensing, publication contracts, and on innovative technologies that support academic publishing and other methods of scholarly communication.

Email copyright-questions@duke.edu with your questions, or to arrange individual consultations or workshops and presentations on these topics.
