National Public Radio (NPR)
NPR podcasts  NPR is partnering actively with the NPR stations and other public radio organizations from around the country to provide this podcasting service.  Browse by topic, title or provider for offerings from NPR stations.  RSS feeds available through iTunes and My Yahoo.

British Broadcasting Company (BBC)
BBC podcasts  Download and podcast trial for a limited number of BBC Radio programs.  Currently most BBC radio programs are offered for download for 7 days after broadcast.  RSS feeds available.

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)
CBC podcasts  Podcasts of a few of the CBC radio programs.

Government

The White House
White House podcasts  Downloadable audio of the Presidential weekly radio address, speeches and interviews with the President and key officials.  Also includes webcast (video and audio podcast) of the Bush's dogs, Barney, Miss Beazley and Spot, touring sites in the White House.  Streaming and downloadable audio available in both English and Spanish.  RSS feeds also available.

FirstGov.gov
Podcasts from the US Government  A listing of podcasts available from many government offices and agencies.  Links are subscription feeds of podcasts.

University Channel  The University Channel makes audio and video of academic lectures and events from all over the world available to the public. It is a place where academics can air their ideas and present research in a full-length, uncut format.  A consortium led by Princeton University

LearningOutLoud.com
LearningOutLoud.com Free Directory  This directory features free audio books, lectures, speeches, sermons, interviews, and many other audio and video resources. Most audio titles can be downloaded in digital formats such as MP3 and most video titles are available to stream online.

Universities

Duke University
Duke on iTunes  The Duke iTunes page includes music, lectures and tips on Duke life.  Requires Duke NetID and use of iTunes for access.

University of California at Berkeley
webcast.berkeley  This Spring 2006 webcast.berkeley is conducting a Podcast Pilot. These recordings are primarily used by students to review key concepts and to study before exams.  There are is also audio and video from some campus lectures and events.  Includes downloadable MP3 audio, streaming audio and some streaming video.

Stanford University
Stanford on iTunes  Stanford on iTunes provides access to a wide range of Stanford-related digital audio content via the iTunes Music Store, Apple’s popular music jukebox and online music store. The project includes two sites:  a public site, targeted primarily at alumni, which includes Stanford faculty lectures, learning materials, music, sports, and more; and an access-restricted site for students delivering course-based materials and advising content.

UCLA
BruinCast  Streaming audio and video and downloadable MP3 audio of course lectures and some events on the UCLA campus.  Sponsored by the UCLA Office of Instructional Development.

Purdue University
BoilerCast  Extensive list of classroom audio recordings for students which are often used as review of the day’s material or for use on homework assignments and review before exams. RSS feeds available for all courses.  Some courses require Purdue login to gain access.

Online Audiobooks

Librivox
LibriVox provides free audiobooks from the public domain.  Podcast available to automatically download new titles as they are created.  Librivox has volunteer opportunities for anyone who would like to read chapters of books that are in the public domain.
