Resource Tabs
Choose which resources to search. The "catalog" tab includes books, journals, microforms, electronic resources, videos & DVD's, audio & CD's, and more.
Search In...
Keyword is the default and will search all fields, but you may specify Title, Journal Title, Author, Subject Heading, or ISBN/ISSN.
Search Box
Enter your search terms here. You may use "phrases in quotes"
Search Within Results
Check this box to search only within the current set of results.
You Are Searching For
This section shows you what you have searched for or selected to get the current set of results. Click the to remove any of your terms or refinements and expand your results.
Refine Your Search
Use these options to narrow your results to show only items of a specific format, author, location, or other field. The number in parentheses shows how many results will be left once narrowed by that option.
# of Results Found
Shows how many results match your current search. Click the for an RSS feed of your search. After "Want More..?" click the # of results to search the combined Duke, UNC-CH, NC State, and NC Central catalogs.
Next / Previous Page
Shows which results you are currently seeing and lets you go to next or previous page of results.
Sort By
Sort your results. The default choice is relevance, though you may sort alphabetically, by call number, or even "Most Popular" (which items are checked out the most frequently).
