Several image collections based at Duke University are searchable via the web. Please see the Duke Image Collections page for links to these.
These Web Search Engines include image search features.
Duke subscribes to Image Databases and Art Databases, which can be searched simultaneously in the Articles & Databases finder.
All online library catalogs are part of one of two giant union (combined) cataloging consoritia: OCLC (WorldCat) or RLG (Eureka). Duke, UNC and most other university libraries belong to WorldCat. Many Museum and art libraries (and most Ivy League schools) belong to Eureka. Search either (or both!) gives you the world of published information at your fingertips and lets you know what to ask for on inter-library loan.
