Off-campus access to most library databases and e-journals is available to current Duke students, faculty, and staff. Those patrons may use one of the following methods to access these resources:
- off-campus via the internet: Type in your current Duke NetID and password for access. For example, if you are off campus and clicking through from a Duke libraries search to read a journal article or an eBook you must provide a current Duke NetID and password.
Note: You cannot get off-campus access for a small number of Duke's electronic resources such as our Bloomberg Terminal or those restricted by license agreements to a subset of Duke factuly, students and staff.
- Duke's VPN: Download and install the current version of the Duke Virtual Private Network (VPN). Upon signing in, select "Library Resources Only" from the "Department" dropdown menu.
