Jacob, Henry. The Right of a Jew to Hold Elective Office: A Speech Delivered before the North Carolina Commons in 1809

Moïse, Penina. Fancy's Sketch Book Penina Moïse (1797-1880) ran an exceptionally fine school for Jewish girls and was a successful poet. In addition to her 1833 book, her work was published widely, including in the Occident and American Jewish Advocate, Godey’s Lady’s Book, and the Home Journal. Her best-loved and most characteristic work is contained in the volume of Hymns Written for the Use of Hebrew Congregations (1856).
