Medieval and Renaissance Studies

Collection Description

The Medieval and Renaissance Studies collection supports the Duke Medieval and Renaissance Program, which offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The collection includes primary and secondary literature on the history and culture of the Medieval and Renaissance periods. The materials collected include current publications in the fields of history, literature, philosophy, art, and music. Publications in major European languages are acquired for the collection, with particular emphasis on English, French, German, Italian, and Latin.  Materials in all formats are collected, though the majority of the collection is in printed form. This guide provides a basic introduction to the major print and electronic books and journals in the field, as well as reliable Internet sites.
