The Wright American Fiction collection includes novels, short stories, tall tales, allegories, tract-like tales, fictitious biographies, and travels written by American authors and published between 1876-1900.

The card catalog, located at the rear of the first floor of Bostock Library, offers access to the collection.  The call number, reel number and item number are indicated on the catalog card.

A copy of the guide to the collection is located on the Newspapers and Microforms Department shelves, located behind the Bostock Library help desk, under the call number 813.4 W951A.  Another copy is available in the Reference Department under the call number 016.813 W951AE.  The entries in this guide are alphabetical by author, or, if there is no author, by title.  Items are then numbered from 1-6,175.  Brief bibliographical information is also given for each entry.

The microfilm for volumes I-II of the Wright collection can be obtained from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
