The Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture in Duke's Rubenstein Library acquires, preserves and makes available to a large population of researchers published and unpublished materials that reflect the public and private lives of women, past and present.
We are now accepting applications for 2013 Mary Lily Research Grants. The Sallie Bingham Center provides travel grants of up to $1000 for researchers whose work would benefit from access to the women's history collections held at Duke's David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library. This year's deadline will be March 29, 2012 (by 5 p.m. EST). Recipients will be announced by April 30, 2013.

Please join us for a talk by Kimberly Wilmot Voss, Assistant Professor and Area Coordinator of Journalism, University of Central Florida. This program address the intersection of the women’s pages of newspapers and women’s liberation leaders in the 1960s and 70s, and the differences in coverage by those women journalists compared to the mainstream press. Voss is a recipient of a Mary Lily Research Grant from the Sallie Bingham Center. Light refreshments will be provided.
