Subject Headings
Preferred Citation
[Identification of item], Duke University Living History Program Records, David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Duke University.
Provenance
The Duke University Living History Program Records include materials originally produced for the Jay Rutherfurd collection. On October 2, 1999, the Jay Rutherfurd Collection of audiovisual materials at Duke University was formally incorporated into the Duke University Living History Program, which will be administered by the De Witt Wallace Center for Communications and Journalism. Jay Rutherfurd, whose name is permanently identified with this program, seeks to make available videotapes for use in classrooms. As he put it on Wednesday, the 3rd of November, 1973, "Here at Duke Library, we are initiating an exciting experiment in electronic journalism. May it illuminate well, educate wisely, and relay meaningfully for future generations."
Gift, in part, of Jay Rutherfurd; and transfer from the Living History Program, 1979-1999. New materials are added as received.
