<head>Biographical Note</head>

<p>George Leonidas Lyon, a native of Durham, N.C. and grandson of Washington Duke, was a world champion marksman. He coached the United States Trapshooting team to both team and individual gold medals in the Games of the V Olympiad held in Stockholm, Sweden in 1912.  </p>
