The William Robertson McKenney Papers span the years 1865-1930. McKenney was born in Petersburg in 1851 and attended the University of Virginia. The materials relate to McKenney's law practice (chiefly 1880-1900), and are largely concerned with the settlement of estates and the sale of real estate in Petersburg, Va. McKenney died in 1916.
