Abstract
Reikowski was an art director and graphic designer who immigrated to the U.S. in 1958 from Germany and worked with clients such as Sunshine Biscuits, Herman Miller, General Foods, Post, Jaguar, Jergens as well as the U.S. Information Service in the U.S. Embassy in Bonn, Germany.
Collection contains sketches, advertising proofs, transparencies, photographs and other materials created by Reikowski for his clients Sunshine Biscuits, Amerika Haus and Herman Miller. Also, included is a boxed set of Container Corporation of America print ads commemorating the 50 states. Acquired as part of the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising and Marketing History.

Historical Note
Reikowski was an art director and graphic designer who immigrated to the U.S. in 1958 from Germany and worked with clients such as Sunshine Biscuits, Herman Miller, General Foods, Post, Jaguar, Jergens as well as the U.S. Information Service in the U.S. Embassy in Bonn, Germany. He attended art school at the Meisterschule fuer Graphik in Berlin and was drafted into the German army as a private, first class during WWII.
