<p>Contains correspondence between Silvette and Archibald MacLeish, who addressed Silvette as <emph render="doublequote">Stiletto</emph> in his letters. MacLeish (1892-1982) was an American poet, playwright, teacher and public official, and served as Librarian of Congress from 1939 to 1944 and as Assistant Secretary of State from 1944 to 1945. Silvette compiled these letters in a volume entitled <title render="doublequote">The Stiletto Letters.</title></p>
