<p>The University Archives Poster Collection was compiled by University Archives staff from a variety of sources. The collection consists of approximately 1,600 posters, event calendars, programs and flyers publicizing various campus events, including movies, lectures, literary events, musical and theatrical performances (including Hoof 'N' Horn, Duke Players, and Duke Drama), concerts (including Duke ensemble groups and outside major attractions), art exhibitions, and festivals. Also included are basketball (men's and women's) team posters. Dates of the posters range from 1935 to the present, but a majority of the posters ranges from 1970-1989.</p>
