<p>Project Child provides first-year students with an experience of extended orientation to both Duke University and the greater Durham Community. First-year students engage in actively supporting at-risk children in Durham Public Schools through participation in weekly tutoring and mentoring within several neighboring schools and community centers in the Duke-Durham Neighborhood Partnership.</p>
