<abstract encodinganalog="520">Materials in the collection include administrative records, correspondence, financial and statistical reports, memoranda, newspaper clippings, and other materials primarily documenting Office of Civil Rights (OCR) compliance and complaints associated with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, compliance with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW), and fair hiring practices for faculty. Dates of the materials range from 1975 to 1988, but a majority of the materials range from 1978-1981.</abstract>
