Many per nozze publications featured ornate covers. This 1901 per nozze is a good example. In the dedication page shown here, the bride's brother explains his choice of text: three letters written by Silvio Pellico, well-known Italian revolutionary and writer, in which Pellico mentions the bride's uncle, Antonino Barigazzi. The brother believes that these letters, "written between 1845 and 1852," have never been published before. Per nozze often are found to contain previously unpublished material, making them an important resource for researchers looking for difficult-to-find texts.
