P.Duk.inv. 983 R was written along the fibers on the recto; written across the fibers on the verso in a different hand. Account of expenses from Egypt, written on papyrus. Expenses are for transportation and payments to a manager (of an estate) and to someone named Antonios, a cavalry man. Verso has an account of wheat in Greek (P.Duk.inv. 983 V). In Greek.
