Dallas, Texas, February. 1962

From the William L. Cabell School

"Thanks so much for your lovely and enteresting THE LITTLE SONG
THAT WANTED TO BE A SYMPHONY. William L. Cabell students enjoyed it
very much as well as their teacher.
I was reared in Benton, Ark. and lived four and one half years in
Little Rock. We are very proud of your achievement."
                                             Lorene Bowers (Teacher)

THE LITTLE SONG THAT WANTED TO BE A SYMPHONY
Did what I knew was right.
He went to all the lands and played
To the children, day and night.

Such a happy story
The LITTLE SONG did say.
It made me listen, hard,
Till there was no more to play.
                    Betsy Fink

I loved your charming composition,
You must be a very gay musician.
I liked the way you explained everything,
It really made my heart just ring,
And I couldn't help it when I started to sing,
My symphony manners went out the door.
Your Little Symphony I really adored.
                     Jamie Danhi

THE LITTLE SONG THAT WANTED TO BE A SYMPHONY
Was a[s] nice as he could be
He made me gay and joyful
And as happy as can be!
                     Cathi Ramos

I enjoyed music on Saturday morning
It was full of good cheer and a lot of fun.
I liked the BIRD SUITE and all the beautiful music.
I like THE LITTLE SONG THAT WANTED TO BE A SYMPHONY
I liked the pretty, pretty sounds
                     Mary Elaine Osburn

The LITTLE SONG was such a good friend
He made me happy on Saturday.
The LITTLE SONG wasn't trying to be big.
The Melody was acting proud and big.
The LITTLE SONG was thinking of children.
The Melody was thinking just of himself.
That is why I liked the song,
Instead of picking the greedy one.
                     Paula Eddins
