Due to holidays and choas = unenthusiasm DAR II had a vacation for 2-3 weeks.  Somewhat of a reorganization of the group was necessary and some things were pulled together at the Jan. 12. meeting.   -- "Peachy"

DAR II -- Jan 12, 1975

PRESENT: Martha, Lorraine, Sally, Margo, Donna, Mickey, Sarah, Peachy, Linda Reggie

Discussion on people who weren't there: Marcia, Jeanna, didn't feel group at present could meet their needs.

Agenda

  1. getting together as a group
  2. Peachy and Mickey talked about the "course" on feminism and socialist politics they were interested in starting
  3. legal case/ Bayou landing
  4. structure, publicity, name, relationship to Alfa, internal dynamics.
  5. E.R.A.

Structure --

Criticism -- discussion

Security -- general discussion on the seriousness of what we're doing and the importance of security -- PHONE TAPS, informers etc.

Legal Case:  Juanita Price (S.C.L.C.), 6 black lesbians attacked at Bayou Landing and arrested.  Harassed at bar, searched, club owner passed buck.  Name calling.  Discussion of how to publicize the case.  Bird, Creative Loafing other forms of media, BARB .... leafleting.

Future topics for discussion:  ERA, Lesbian Separatism, CWLU, our jobs, statements by other groups, astrology (IMPLICATIONS OF).

Next meeting -- lesbian Separatism -- DONNA, LINDA + Peachy will PREPARE FOR DISCUSSION.
