Building Access

The main floors of Perkins Library, Lilly Library, and the branches are accessible. However, some of the book stacks and other areas are currently not accessible. Please ask library staff for assistance if you need materials from these areas. 

Perkins Library has an unassisted entrance at the main entrance to the Bostock Library building that is open during the times the library is open. Information on handicapped parking is available on the Accessible Parking page.

Lilly Library's main entrance is an unassisted entry. The back entrance has a ramp leading up to it, with handicapped parking nearby.

Biological and Environmental Sciences Library has ramp access to an unassisted entry to the sub-basement from the parking lot. Take the elevator to the first floor where the BES Library is located.

Divinity Library has two unassisted entries, one by the Divinity Parking lot, and one by the Kilgo entrance from the quad (with the light-colored portico).

Law Library has an unassisted entry at the back of the Law Building, with parking nearby. Take the elevator to the third floor where the Library is located. The front entrance to the Law Building has a ramp for wheelchair accessibility.

Medical Library has unassisted entries into the Library, through the Seeley Mudd building, where there is a handicapped parking space. The library is also accessible by walkway from the hospital, Duke North and the Clinics, Duke South.

Music Library has an unassisted entry at the front and back with an elevator at the back for access to the first floor library. Parking is available on both sides of the building. In the Music Library's newly redesigned media center, there are two accessible stations

Vesic Library has an unassisted entry on the basement floor, with handicapped parking near Hudson Hall and elevator access to the Library. There is also a ramp entrance at the front of the Teer Building.
