BARD Services for Duke Faculty and Duke Graduate Students

BARD delivers books and articles among all of the Duke Libraries. The Duke Libraries are the Perkins Libraries (Perkins/Bostock, Lilly, Music, Biological & Environmental Science, Vesic Library for Engineering, Mathematics and Physics, Marine Lab, and Chemistry), the Ford Library, the Divinity School Library, the Law Library and the Medical Center Library.

How to Request Book Delivery among Duke Libraries from the online catalog.

• Login to your Library Account in the online catalog.
• Search and locate your book in the online catalog.
• When you view the Full Catalog - List of Records, click the Perkins Library Shelf Location: Call No. column on right side of page.

This is the Full Catalog-Holdings screen.

Click on the word Request for the book you want.

This is the Request Item screen.

Change the pick-up library or the Date of Interest and Click Submit to enter your request.

NOTE: Use this Request only for materials in the Duke Libraries. The Perkins Libraries will retrieve books from their shelves for pickup at their Circulation Desks. View requested items through "My Library Card" account.
