Any faculty or staff member currently employed by or any student currently enrolled at Duke University may use Interlibrary Loan. Spouses, visiting researchers, participants in temporary programs, and community members do not have ILL privileges. Please request items through your corporate or public library. If you have questions about your eligibility, please contact ILL at 919-660-5890 or illrequests@duke.edu
All authorized patrons must have an account on ILLiad, our online interlibrary loan management system. (Connect to ILLiad to set up your account) In ILLiad you must select a username and password, which gives you protected access to information about your outstanding and completed requests. It is highly recommended that you select your Duke NetID and password for your ILLiad account. In the event you have forgotten your username or password, please contact ILL at 919-660-5890 or illrequests@duke.edu We can reset your password immediately during our office hours, 8-5 on weekdays. You can change your password the next time you use the system.
If you are working for a faculty member, please submit requests in the faculty member’s account, not yours.
NOTE: Law, Medical, and Fuqua Business offer their own interlibrary loan service. Patrons affiliated with these institutions must use the services at their libraries. The Durham Public Library provides interlibrary loan service for the general public.
