The Duke University Libraries are interested in improving services for students writing honors theses. In order to understand more fully students' research habits, librarians are studying how students navigate their thesis projects -- from formulating a research question to writing their final products.
This study, which has been approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB), will involve three 15-minute interviews, one at the beginning of the thesis process, one mid-way through the process, and one after the thesis is completed and submitted. Students' input will help the Libraries improve services for students writing honors theses (and ultimately for all undergraduates), and the librarians conducting this study hope that participants will find the interviews to be beneficial in reflecting on their research processes.
If you have questions about the study or would like to participate, contact Instruction and Outreach Librarian Emily Daly.
*Note: Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Participants do not need to have taken advantage of library services or resources.
