Family correspondence includes information on education and student life at Davenport Female College during the 19th century.

Includes numerous published opening and commencement addresses delivered throughout the 19th and 20th centuries at various female academies and women's colleges such as Brooklyn Female Academy, 1846, Pennsylvania Female College, 1853, and Rutgers Female College, 1860.
