The Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library

Collection Development Policy

The Library acquires primary documentation in many forms to support research in human experience and culture. These materials are chosen with attention, first, to instructional and research interests in the University and, second, to the special contributions the Library can make to the broader scholarly community. This is a general policy that provides broadly for collecting by the Library. Separate detailed policies guide collecting in target areas.
