Letters from Kennon to his wife, Anna Beecher Rice Kennon, letters from his superior officers, draft of a speech narrating Gen. George Crook's Chiricahua campaign, scrapbook of correspondence, articles, and newspaper clippings, and some papers of Gen. Crook, to whom Kennon was aide-de-camp. Subjects include the Indian wars and the surrender of Geronimo, Kennon's work in South America in 1891–1892, the Spanish American War, and his service in 1899 as Military Governor of the Philippines.
