The Duke University Libraries invites you to pay tribute to a special person or event by making a gift to the Libraries Annual Fund Honoring with Books program. When you make a gift of $100 or more, our librarians will select a book in one of the following subject areas: African-American studies, anthropology, classical studies, cultural studies, dance, economics, engineering, environmental studies, fine arts, global health, history, international studies, Islamic studies, Judiac studies, life sciences, literature, mathematics, music, physical sciences, political sciences, public policy, psychology, religion, sociology, technology and women's studies.
An electronic bookplate will be added to the online catalog listing of the book honoring someone or a special occasion. Electronic bookplates can be seen by anyone, anywhere when they view the catalog listing for the book. Because these bookplates are electronic, it is easy to share them with friends and family by simply forwarding the catalog listing link by email.
Electronic bookplates offer an enduring expression of appreciation for the people who have enriched our lives. They can provide a wonderful way to thank and acknowledge professors, mentors, advisors, graduates, parents, grandparents, friends and colleagues.
They also provide a lasting remembrance of important milestones. Birthdays, births, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, promotions, personal achievements, religious celebrations and retirements can all be remembered through electronic bookplates.
Your honoree will receive communication from the Duke University Libraries making them aware of your generosity, and their electronic bookplate. If you are able to provide an email address for the person you are honoring, we will send an electronic notification with a link to the electronic bookplate.
By making a gift to the Duke University Libraries, you are helping us continue to provide exceptional resources to the Duke community. Thank you for your generosity.
