Naming Opportunities

imageThe Duke University Libraries embarked on the Perkins Project with an ambitious plan.  The many transformations that have accompanied the opening of our new spaces and buildings have exceeded our most outrageous "what ifs."  The three-fold increase in annual library visits since 2006 is a testament to the quality of our spaces, services, and collections.  The Link, a 25,000 square foot teaching and learning center on lower floor one of Perkins Library, has been an overwhelming success.  The Link's six classrooms, four seminar rooms, and eleven smaller project spaces are technology-rich and incorporate interactive features that promote innovation.

The Perkins Project continues with the transformation of the original West Campus library buidling, where the University's archives and the rare books, manuscripts, and special collections reside.  Renderings of the final phase of the Perkins Project illustrate the spectacular new entrance, the new Special Collections Reading Room, the impeccably restored Gothic Reading Room, and beautiful new gallery spaces.  We're still thinking big and asking, "what if ...," as we begin the final stage of the project - and we invite you to join us.  Make a gift to the Perkins project, name one of these signature spaces, and participate in the transformation of Duke and its Libraries.  Make a gift to the Perkins Project and transform lives.
