Celebrating Cameron Indoor Stadium

Images from the history of Duke's Indoor Stadium, 1940-

A rendering of the proposed stadium by Julian Abele and William O. Frank
of the Office of Horace Trumbauer, Architects.

An earlier proposal -- a sort of ... dome?

No, this isn't the high-rent district of Krzyzewskiville. Oral tradition has it that when enrollment sky-rocketed following World War II, the stadium's concourse was used for emergency dorm space.

A history, Home Court: Fifty Years of Cameron Indoor Stadium, was published in 1989.
